RIADS

Riads are the most quintessentially Moroccan accommodation. Bright and airy, a large number of traditional riads have been converted into guesthouses, allowing visitors to live like a local while in Morocco. Riads take their name from the Arabic word for garden. A central feature of a riad is an interior garden, usually with trees and a fountain. A riad generally has two or more levels built around this central garden, with upper balconies overlooking the lower floor. Roof terraces with high walls are common.

Although guesthouse -style riads have seen many alterations and renovations over the years – with one of the main changes including the addition of modern bathrooms – a stay in a riad is still a great way to experience life in the bustling medina, in a property that was used by the affluent in times gone by .

HOTELS/LUXURY HOTELS

There are many luxurious hotels in Morocco, but none compare to the ones with a friendly and professional staff, picturesque landscapes, infinity pools, Arabian horse farms, and unique facilities that will make your stay an unforgettable experience.

As soon as you step inside you feel like you’re in another world where everything is perfect. There are marble floors everywhere, Moroccan tiles, gardens, and olive groves surrounding the outside area, with a gigantic pool and comfy chairs. You can choose a suite with a large bedroom and bathroom with a terrace that includes your own pool area, where you can sunbathe while sipping a drink.

A penthouse spreads over the entire floor and has bedrooms, hammams, spacious terraces with stunning views over the resort, and various plunge pools.

APARTMENTS

You can also look for apartments or villas to rent on several websites. The rental listings are generally posted by agents, who may be able to show you several options depending on your needs. Generally, agents will charge up to one month's rent as a fee for finding you an apartment, along with asking for a down payment (or deposit) of one month's rent that should be returned to you at the end of the lease, as long as there is no damage to the property.

You can sometimes avoid paying an agent by asking shopkeepers in the neighbourhood if they know of any vacancies. Talking to friends or coworkers who live in the area where you want to move is also a great way to find out what prices you might expect. Keep in mind that most agents and landlords might not be fluent in English, so it may be necessary to find a translator if you do not speak Moroccan Arabic or French.

Apartments and houses can be rented at any time of the year.
